Stu is an experienced and versatile musician and pedagogue. He began on saxophone with the Sydney Youth Orchestra Concert Band, continued with classical voice, and later focused on classical guitar while studying the Diploma of Music Technology at the University of New England. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, while actively performing across multiple genres.

 

Stu plays guitar in a classical guitar duo, fretless bass in a death metal band, and sings lead vocals in a rock tribute band. His stage experience informs and inspires every lesson.

 

Stu has 5+ years' experience teaching classical, folk, jazz, metal, musical theatre, pop and rock. He is a student teacher member of Suzuki Music NSW and a member of the Classical Guitar Society Sydney. Drawing on his extensive professional experience, Stu helps students build performance confidence, strengthen technique, and cultivate musicality.
