Sophie is a classically trained pianist with a deep-rooted passion for nurturing musical growth in students of all ages and abilities. Her journey with the piano began at just five years old, and over the years, her dedication and talent have led her to achieve a Level 10 certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from Acadia University in Canada.
Fluent in both English and French, Sophie brings a global perspective and over a decade of teaching experience to her lessons. She has worked with students from diverse backgrounds and stages of development—from young beginners discovering the joy of music for the first time to advanced players preparing for conservatory auditions. In addition to her piano credentials, Sophie also has a strong background in choral music and vocal accompaniment, allowing her to support students with a broad range of musical interests and goals.
Sophie’s teaching style is warm, encouraging, and student-led. She believes in meeting each learner where they are, cultivating their confidence and creativity while fostering a lifelong love for music. Her lessons combine imaginative exploration with a solid grounding in classical technique, theory, and musicianship—equipping students with the tools they need to express themselves fully at the piano and beyond. Whether a student is working toward exams, performances, or simply playing for joy, Sophie is committed to guiding them every step of the way with care, clarity, and inspiration.
